"Hax Pax Max" is the beginning of a magic and parodic formula destined to distract the audience while the magic trick takes shape.

During this evening of conjuring, it will be question to observe the transformation of matters and beings—gas, technology, identities—under the power of the words and gestures.

A special screening conceived by Marie Voignier, in collaboration with Caro Sposo and the Cinémathèque Robert-Lynen. With Norman McLaren, Vassilis Salpistis, Deborah Stratman, Julie Vayssière, films and archive from the Cinémathèque Robert-Lynen and the Françoise Voignier archive.

Born in 1974, Marie Voignier lives and works in Paris. Among her numerous films and videos: L'Hypothèse du Mokélé-Mbembé (2011), Tourisme International (2014) and Tinselwood (2017),shown in her exhibition Vert Monument at Marcelle Alix gallery (until July 22).
She just published, with Catherine Coquery-Vidrovitch, La Piste rouge. Colonisation, travail forcé et sorcellerie dans le Sud-Est camerounais at B42 publishers. She is participating in the 57th Venice Biennial with her film Les Immobiles (2013). She is represented by Marcelle Alix, Paris.
